FOREIGN MISSION WORK Bangladesh and Nepal The Horse Cave Church of Christ has supported bro. Mike Brooks since 2000. Bro. Brooks is working to train native preachers in Bangladesh and Nepal to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in a predominately Muslim country. This work is overseen by the elders at the Highland Park Church of Christ in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. South Africa Brother Al Horne continues his work with the South African Bible School which was established in 1966. Over 250 graduates have been trained and are working in 20 countries. The Horse Cave Church has supported bro. Horne since 1992. His work is overseen by the Memorial Church of Christ in Houston, Texas. Memorial CoC Website Click Here South Africa Bible College Website Bangkok, Thailand In 2001, the Horse Cave Church of Christ began supporting bro. Patinya Thitathan in his work in Thailand. This work centers on the youth at the university located in Bangkok, a very large city and a huge university with over 500,000 students. Brother Patinya is a graduate of Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas and chose to return to his homeland to teach and preach to a predominately Buddhist nation. For more information check out this Website Link or Thailand for the Savior. LOCAL WORKS Green County, Kentucky The Horse Cave congregation supports bro. Danny McCain who works in Greensburg with the only congregation of the Church of Christ in Green Co. Bro. McCain also receives support from other congregations in the area. Danny & his wife, Janet are faithful workers in the Lord's kingdom. Grant County, Kentucky We are assisting the Lehman Ave. Church of Christ in Bowling Green, KY to support a new work in Grant Co. KY as a part of 'Evangelize Kentucky' project. Grant Co. is located 34 miles south of Cincinnati and 44 miles north of Lexington and is in a growing community. Jerry Carmichael serves as their local preacher. Mid-South Bible Institute Located in Glasgow, KY, it is a satellite school of the Sunset International Bible Institute of Lubbock, TX. MSBI serves several congregations located in south-central Kentucky. Students receive video instructions from certified Bible instructors from SIBI and can receive credit toward a Bible degree or simply audit the instruction for personal growth. The first class begins at 6:30 p.m. and the second class begins at 7:30 p.m. The school is located at 413 Samson St. in Glasgow, Ky. OTHER WORKS Sammy Flanary Development / Mission Coordinator - Europe as a partnership with Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, TX Sunset International Bible Institute SIBI is located in Lubbock, TX Our previous preacher, Beauford Fudge and our current preacher, Wayne Hatcher are both graduates from Sunset when it was known as Sunset School of Preaching. Beauford graduated in the late 60's and Wayne graduated in 1973. Website for Sunset and supporting congregation's Website Southeast Satellite Schools Darrell Wallace of the Horse Cave Church of Christ is the new Field Representative. This is a cooperative ministry between the Extension Department of Sunset International Bible Institute and local churches of Christ. Darrell will be working within the southeastern U.S. to help with established satellite schools and to help promote new ones. For more information visit the website of Southeast Satellite Schools Potter Children's Home For many years, the Horse Cave Church of Christ has supported Potter Children's Home in Bowling Green, Ky. Potter Home offers many services to orphaned children in a Christian setting. Horse Cave has financially supported this work for many years.
